We are looking for a skilled engineer experienced in designing and prototyping high-precision optical and electro-mechanical systems. The role involves developing optical instruments, precision motion stages (X-Y-Z), and structural assemblies for quantum communication, sensing, and photonics applications.

🎓 Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in precision mechanical design and product development, preferably in optics, photonics, or instrumentation.
  

• Proven expertise in designing optical assemblies, precision motion stages (X-Y-Z), and electro-mechanical subsystems.
  

• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks), GD&T, and tolerance analysis with experience in FEA/CFD simulations.
  

• Hands-on experience in mechanical prototyping, machining, assembly, and testing of precision components.
  

• Sound understanding of vibration isolation, mechanical stability, and thermal management for sensitive systems.
  

• Experience with vendor coordination, component sourcing, documentation (drawings, BOMs, test procedures), and PLM systems.
  

• Preferred: Familiarity with vacuum/cryogenic system design, motion control technologies, and ability to mentor junior engineers.
