Expression of Interest (EOI) for Co-Development of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Nodes

IITM CDOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation (Samgnya), a Quantum Communication T-Hub under the National Quantum Mission, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from competent Indian industry partners for the Co-Development of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Nodes.
This initiative is part of a strategic roadmap to establish the Metro Area Quantum Access Network (MAQAN) and the subsequent National Backbone. Selected partners will work jointly with Samgnya to translate quantum protocols into field-deployable, interoperable nodes that integrate seamlessly with DARPAN-Q, our indigenous network orchestration layer.
1. Key Highlights:
- Nature of Work: Co-development and supply of QKD nodes; this is not a standard COTS procurement.
- Deployment Phases: Pilot validation followed by Metro deployments in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, and Chennai.
- Technical Focus: Development of hardware compatible with DPS, COW, or TF protocols, adhering to QuILA and ETSI GS QKD standards.
- Eligibility: Open to registered Indian companies (Start-ups, MSMEs, and Large Industry) with trusted domestic supply chains.
