A Five-Day Workshop on Quantum Computing & Security

Overview: Aims to cultivate advanced research capabilities in cryptology, both from classical and post-quantum perspectives, among India's budding researchers. With the rapid evolution of quantum technologies posing significant threats to classical cryptographic primitives, it is imperative to equip researchers with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, analyse, and implement secure systems in the post-quantum era. The proposed Winter School directly aligns with the Human Resource Development (HRD) objectives of the National Quantum Mission (NQM) by strengthening national capacity in quantum-safe cryptography, building a pipeline of skilled researchers, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and increasing the impact and reach of the school by following a Dagstuhl-Seminar type format.

Overview: The National Initiative Workshop on Cryptography (NIWC 2025) provided a comprehensive overview of modern cryptographic techniques, covering classical cryptography, post-quantum cryptography, and quantum communication. The workshop brought together leading researchers and experts from IISc Bangalore, IITs, ISI Kolkata, DRDO, and SETS Chennai. It focused on foundational concepts, advanced security models, cryptanalysis methods, and practical deployment challenges. Participants gained deeper insights into quantum-safe cryptographic primitives and emerging security frameworks. The program strengthened research-oriented thinking aligned with national security priorities and future communication infrastructure needs.

AeroDefCon 2025: Quantum Key Distribution Showcase

At this key aerospace and defense conference, IITM CDoT Samgnya Technologies Foundation presented cutting-edge QKD technologies to secure Tamil Naduโ€™s Defence Corridor. The display included a full Chennai-built QKD system and new initiatives such as MAQAN and QUILA to connect Chennai and Bangalore through quantum-secure links. A pilot QKD setup demonstrating real-time interception detection was also showcased.

QKD Practicum 2025: Hands-on Training in QKD Systems
