A Five-Day Workshop on Quantum Computing & Security

🗓️ 9th to 13th March 2026📍Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur

Overview: This Offline Five-Day National Workshop aims to equip students and scholars with foundational knowledge of Quantum Computing, with a strong focus on Cyber Security. It addresses quantum cryptography, quantum threats to classical security systems, and emerging quantum technologies. The workshop also fosters interaction with leading quantum experts and researchers. It is designed to build skilled human resources among UG/PG students and research scholars in this rapidly evolving domain.

Quantum Communication and Information Security

🗓️ 28th to 29th March 2026📍IIIT Allahabad, Prayagraj

Overview: The workshop aims to create awareness about the threats posed by quantum computing to classical cryptography and the need for quantum-safe security solutions. It focuses on training participants in quantum communication and information security, sharing current research and future directions, and encouraging early-stage research through poster presentations.

It focuses on quantum-secure architectures, post-quantum cryptography, and advanced financial applications. The event supports national efforts under NQM to strengthen cyber-resilience and promote quantum adoption. It also enables indigenous R&D, industry collaboration, and real-world FinTech use-cases.

Quantum Crossroads: Workshop on Materials, Computation, Communications, and Information

🗓️ 24-26 January 2026📍SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai

Overview: Quantum Crossroads is a national workshop bringing together researchers across quantum materials, computation, information, and communication to foster collaboration and cross-disciplinary dialogue. Aligned with India’s National Quantum Mission and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, this maiden edition marks the beginning of a biennial initiative to strengthen the country’s quantum ecosystem.

Crypto Winter School (CWS 2025)

🗓️ 9–12 December 2025📍IIT Bhilai, Chattisgarh

Overview: 

The program aims to cultivate advanced research capabilities in cryptology, covering both classical and post-quantum approaches, among emerging researchers in India. As quantum technologies threaten classical cryptographic systems, it is essential to equip researchers with the skills to design and analyse secure post-quantum systems. The Winter School aligns with the Human Resource Development goals of the National Quantum Mission (NQM) by strengthening national capacity in quantum-safe cryptography, fostering collaboration, and expanding research impact through a Dagstuhl-Seminar style format.


Workshops on Quantum Information (QFTA 2025)

Overview: Designed to train early-career researchers, this event featured four focused workshops on Quantum Measurements, Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Cryptography (QKD), and Quantum Metrology. The event included a panel discussion on the achievements and challenges of Quantum Information Science in India

National Instructional Workshop on Cryptology (NIWC 2025)

🗓️ 24th - 27th November 2025📍IIITDM Kurnool

Overview: 

The National Initiative Workshop on Cryptography (NIWC 2025) introduced modern cryptographic techniques including classical, post-quantum, and quantum communication. Experts from IISc, IITs, ISI Kolkata, DRDO, and SETS Chennai discussed security models, cryptanalysis, and deployment challenges. The workshop enhanced participants’ understanding of quantum-safe cryptography and strengthened research perspectives aligned with future communication and national security needs.

Two-Day Hands-on Workshop on Quantum Computing, Algorithms, and Information

🗓️ 2–3 December 2025📍IIT Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh

Overview: This inaugural event marked the nucleation of the Quantum Knowledge Cluster Tirupati (QKCT). The workshop provided hands-on training using simulators and real quantum hardware, covering core algorithms like Grover’s search and Shor’s factoring. Sessions utilized platforms such as IBM Qiskit, Google Cirq, and CDAC’s QSim.


International Workshop on Quantum Computing, Communications and Networking

Overview: This full-day international workshop, held during IEEE ANTS 2025 at IIIT Delhi on 15 December 2025, focuses on quantum communication and networking technologies. It builds skills in areas such as quantum key distribution and entanglement, while supporting national efforts in secure quantum communication and collaboration across academia, industry, and government.




AeroDefCon 2025: Quantum Key Distribution Showcase

🗓️ 7–9 October 2025 đź“ŤChennai Trade Centre, Chennai

At this key aerospace and defense conference, IITM CDoT Samgnya Technologies Foundation presented cutting-edge QKD technologies to secure Tamil Nadu’s Defence Corridor. The display included a full Chennai-built QKD system and new initiatives such as MAQAN and QUILA to connect Chennai and Bangalore through quantum-secure links. A pilot QKD setup demonstrating real-time interception detection was also showcased.

QKD Practicum 2025: Hands-on Training in QKD Systems

🗓️ 8–12 Sep 2025 đź“ŤSETS, Chennai

In partnership with SETS, IIT Madras, C-DAC, and CODE IIT Madras, this immersive five-day workshop delivered practical training in QKD systems and FPGA-based post-processing. With 18 participants from leading R&D labs, academic institutions, and the public sector, the program blended deep technical insights with real-world application to advance India’s quantum-secure digital future.
