Workshops on Quantum Information (QFTA 2025)

Overview: Designed to train early-career researchers, this event featured four focused workshops on Quantum Measurements, Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Cryptography (QKD), and Quantum Metrology. The event included a panel discussion on the achievements and challenges of Quantum Information Science in India
Two-Day Hands-on Workshop on Quantum Computing, Algorithms, and Information
🗓️ 2–3 December 2025📍IIT Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
Overview: This inaugural event marked the nucleation of the Quantum Knowledge Cluster Tirupati (QKCT). The workshop provided hands-on training using simulators and real quantum hardware, covering core algorithms like Grover’s search and Shor’s factoring. Sessions utilized platforms such as IBM Qiskit, Google Cirq, and CDAC’s QSim.
AeroDefCon 2025: Quantum Key Distribution Showcase
🗓️ 7–9 October 2025 📍Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai
At this key aerospace and defense conference, IITM CDoT Samgnya Technologies Foundation presented cutting-edge QKD technologies to secure Tamil Nadu’s Defence Corridor. The display included a full Chennai-built QKD system and new initiatives such as MAQAN and QUILA to connect Chennai and Bangalore through quantum-secure links. A pilot QKD setup demonstrating real-time interception detection was also showcased.

QKD Practicum 2025: Hands-on Training in QKD Systems
🗓️ 8–12 Sep 2025 📍SETS, Chennai
In partnership with SETS, IIT Madras, C-DAC, and CODE IIT Madras, this immersive five-day workshop delivered practical training in QKD systems and FPGA-based post-processing. With 18 participants from leading R&D labs, academic institutions, and the public sector, the program blended deep technical insights with real-world application to advance India’s quantum-secure digital future.
