🎯 Role Overview
To manage procurement activities in strict compliance with General Financial Rules (GFR 2017), ensuring transparency, cost efficiency, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for goods and services.
- Ensure procurement processes strictly follow GFR provisions, including tendering, bidding, and rate contract procedures.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements in line with GFR requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready records for GST, finance, and statutory reporting.
- Support e-tendering and government e-marketplace (GeM) procurement as per GFR guidelines.
- Develop and maintain vendor database with performance tracking.
- Liaise with project teams, finance, and stores for material requirements.
- Prepare procurement status reports, trackers, and MIS updates for management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration/Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in government or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of GFR 2017, tendering procedures, and GST compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and e-procurement portals (GeM).
- Strong negotiation, documentation, and vendor management skills.
- Multilingual communication is an added advantage.
